The bathroom was extremely clean and the fixtures were new. The room smelled very pleasant. The location was ideal, near a metro stop and near local night life. There was internet available for a small fee in the lobby. The hotel staff was friendly and pleasant.
The hotel had no sound-proofing, and I could hear everything that was said in the room next to mine, very early in the morning.
In general I think its good value for money. Room is quite spacious and clean, bathroom is really nice but a bit small.
The lightning in the room is really poor, you cant really read books or study maps. The breakfast gets boring if you are staying more days. On friday nights the district gets really noisy, the rooms are not well sound isolated.
The hotel is more like a four star hotel than two stars. Clean and excellent barhroom, beds were made everyday. Breakfast was ok, it included in the price and it was just coffee, juice, white rolls and croissants from a plastic bag.
There were several (striptease) bars nearby. It was quite noisy from early morning traffic untill night bar music if you happen to get a room facing the street. There was not A/C, so had to keep windows open. The cleaner put a lots of air freshener into the room and it might give person a headache.
The location was excellent for the night life of Pigalle and very close to the Metro stations. The room was decorated in a modern way and it was very clean and the beds were made each day. The breakfast area was very nice and the continental breakfast was very good. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there but maybe one slight criticism. the noise from adjacent rooms was noticeable occasionally but it wasn't really a problem.
Friendly, helpful staff who spoke great English, decent breakfast included (croissants, pain au chocolats, toast, cereal, yoghurt, coffee/tea/juice), good location/base (good metro lines and walking distance to Opera area), clean room with huge bathroom
Hotel was clean, good location, near metro.
The room was of a good size and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.
We found the hotel to be quite noisy (guests coming and going, cars going past etc), but it was nothing that a pair of earplugs didn't solve!
After hell in cold and ugly Merryl Hotel, Victor Masse was a paradise for us )) The cozy warm room, quiet place in good part of the city, daily cleaning, additional blankets, new towels every 2nd day, breakfast with tons of fresh bread... it was a surprise for such price ) Thank you very much!
Free wi-fi needed! )
Check in was no problem, helpful staff, clean rooms, good location, plus 1 hour of free internet!
if you stay for longer than a few days, the room may be a little small
Location is good, takes only 15 min by bike to the city center.
Cleanliness of the room - we stayed there for a week and our sheets weren't changed at no time. No shower gel and soaps/cups weren't added during our stay. If one likes big breakfast, then the breakfast offered by the hotel was poor/fair.
The hotel is close to several metro stations. It is in the Montmatre area, lot's of tourists
Breakfast is just Ok. The rooms are very noisy. It's not hard to pick up a conversation next door.
Nice and pleasant hotel at Pigalle station. The room with a double bed was actualy great. If conditioned would have been 'excellent'.
The hotel does not provide with taking away breakfast when leaving early in the morning.
Although the hotel was in Pigale (also known as the red light district), it was completely safe and we had no trouble getting around. Many convenience stores nearby. The amazingly friendly staff who were more than helpful at all times, the breakfast was good, room was cleaned every day, very comfortable bedrooms - what more could one ask for?
10cents per minute usage of internet downstairs.
Clean rooms, good location for city trips
kind of noise, small rooms
The staff was ok and helpful, the area is also a good one, despite the fame of this red district - close to important sites of the city and easy to go by metro to others (Louvre, Notre-Dame, etc). The room was cleaned every day.
The price was not worth the room - it looked kind of old, depressing, it was good because we stayed there just for sleep, but even so it did not worth 98 euro/night. They should renovate the rooms, change the furniture, the sheets. The breakfast was typically french - croissant, cofee, cereales...
